MyGreenCard is funded by readers, donors, and a small number of vetted attorney partners. Donations support free tools, community contests, and content for applicants who can't afford attorneys.

What we don't do with donations
- No salaries for ownership. The site's owner does not draw a salary from donations.
- No marketing budget. We grow through word-of-mouth and SEO, not paid advertising.
- No lobbying. We're an information resource, not a political organization.
Transparency
Annual financial summaries published each January, showing donations received, allocations made, and prize disbursements. Recent reports available on request.
Other ways to support
- Share resources — link to specific guides where they help others
- Contribute to the forum — sharing your experiences helps the next applicant
- Suggest content — if you needed information that wasn't here, tell us
- Report scams and inaccuracies — keeping the resource trustworthy depends on community vigilance
Tax deductibility
Donations to MyGreenCard are not currently tax-deductible — we are not a 501(c)(3) organization. We are evaluating nonprofit conversion for 2027.
